      Board Finance Committee - Charge/Purpose

      The Board Finance Committee of the Board of Education studies and reviews the finances of District 300 to make recommendations to the Board of Education which includes the following:

      • Monitors and reviews annual budget, tax levies, major expenditures, payment of obligations, annual audit, and other aspects of the District's financial operation.

      • Monitors and reviews state standards for financial review to ensure the district is improving the financial status.

      • Monitors and reviews Administrative recommendations for budget reductions and or allocations of surplus funds.

      • Oversees technology to ensure the efficiency of operations and advancement

      Board construction & Facility Oversight Committee - Charge/Purpose

      This committee was established to oversee new construction and renovation of buildings in District 300 and to monitor the operation and maintenance of facilities in District 300. This includes:

      • Monitors and reviews life safety issues and the district's compliance with these standards.

      • Reviews and approves donations made to the facilities that involve enhancements to the physical facility or grounds.

      Board Standing Committees Meeting Schedule

      The Board Finance Committee will begin at 4:30 p.m. and the Board Construction and Facility Oversight Committee will begin immediately following but no sooner than 5:15 p.m.  Minutes are approved at the next regularly scheduled meeting and will be available online.
