The Board Operations Committee's purpose and function is as follows:The Board Operations Committee (formerly Joint Board Finance and Construction and Facility Oversight) reviews the finances of District 300 and was established to oversee new construction and renovation of buildings in District 300 and to monitor the operation and maintenance of facilities.
The committee will make recommendations to the Board of Education which includes the following:
- Monitors and reviews annual budget, tax levies, major expenditures, payment of obligations, annual audit, and other aspects of the District's financial operation.
- Monitors and reviews state standards for financial review to ensure the district is improving its financial status.
- Monitors and reviews Administrative recommendations for budget reductions and or allocations of surplus funds.
- Monitors and reviews life safety issues and the district's compliance with these standards.
- Oversees technology to ensure the efficiency of operations and advancement
- Reviews and approves donations made to the facilities that involve enhancements to the physical facility or grounds.
