Together, We're Keeping the Kids Fed!
Our Mission: We provide D300 children, employees and their families with access to food and other resources that nurture a healthier, happier and stronger community.
The D300 Food Pantry serves children 18 and under (and their families) who reside in District 300, employees of CUSD 300 (include Aramark and Durham), and Elgin Community College students who live in the CUSD 300 school district.
Once a family is registered with the pantry, students and families in need can visit each time the pantry is open with an appointment, and receive fresh produce, milk, meat, snacks, bread, and many other shelf-stable food items as well as some toiletries. We also have special events during the year for back-to-school supplies, Easter basket goodies and more.
For more information, visit our website at d300foodpantry.org. You can also email info@d300foodpantry.org
or call 847-783-7030 with questions. The D300 Food Pantry is located at 100 Cleveland Ave. Door 20, Carpentersville, IL (located at the back of Carpentersville Middle School).
Volunteering and Donations
The D300 Food Pantry is 100% volunteer run and 100% volunteer led. We also operate solely on donations of food and money from our community and corporate sponsors.
Volunteers are always needed for the D300 Food Pantry! Volunteer hours qualify for National Honor Society community service hours. Sign up to volunteer at our volunteer website. Answer just a few questions, and sign our waiver, then you’ll see a list of opportunities that you might like to participate in. Join each opportunity you’d like and then choose your shifts from there! And if you don’t find something that works for you or if you have a group that you’d like to sign up for a shift, email our volunteer coordinator Anna Jones.
