Food Services

  • Our Menu Philosophy

We are committed to providing safe, nutritious food, prepared fresh daily. For your students, we offer a variety of meal choices with one goal in mind:

To provide outstanding service and high quality “kid-friendly” meals that meet or exceed the latest federal and state requirements.

    To reach this goal, we:

    • Work directly with food companies to set new industry standards for healthier foods, by requiring all key products to meet our criteria to reduce or eliminate fats, salt and sugars, and to add whole grains.

    • Incorporate wholesome, natural ingredients, and source foods rich in fiber and essential vitamins and minerals, like wholegrain breads, pastas, and cereals; fresh fruits and vegetables, low fat or non-fat milk; and lean, low-fat chicken, beef, and fish

Supply Chain Disruptions in the Child Nutrition Programs:

The food supply chain is suffering delays and shortages nationwide causing our district to experience unavailable items or last-minute replacements. We apologize in advance if a posted menu item is not available, and we will always have a replacement item.

One of the impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic is having nationwide is that food service management companies are having challenges in receiving all of the foods and products that they need. There are a variety of reasons for this challenge, including everything from a lack of availability of popular food items, to labor shortages, to delivery issues. These changes may lead to last-minute menu changes and product substitutions.

We all acknowledge that this is a very challenging time and we know that the health and well-being of the students is a priority. With this goal in mind, and as we all work through these challenging times, meals may not include the items presented on the menu. Our Aramark Food Service workers are doing the best they can to provide a healthy meal for all of our students.

We appreciate your patience and understanding!
