  • In alignment to District 300’s central mission, to ensure all students are college and career ready upon graduation, students who graduate from  our schools will have the ability to make educated decisions to live a safe and healthy lifestyle.

     

    Elementary School

    Elementary health instruction provides students with the ability to understand the basic components and importance of being healthy and staying safe.  Topics include body systems, hygiene, nutrition, safety, social skills, fitness, and goal setting.

     

    Middle School

    Students will be able to understand how to use the decision-making processes to enhance their health and stay safe in a variety of topics. Topics include general wellness, personal health, nutrition, fitness, growth development, anti-tobacco/drug/alcohol, mental health, social health, conflict resolution, human life cycle, reproduction and disease.

     

    High School

    Students will be able to apply essential skills to individually make decisions to enhance and prepare for a lifetime of health and wellness through a variety of topics. Topics include but is not limited to wellness, mental and emotional health, anti-tobacco/drug/alcohol, fitness, nutrition, first aid and CPR, relationship and reproductive health and disease.
