Nancy Zettler - Board Vice President

  • Dundee Township

    Current term expires: April 2027

    • First elected to the Board of Education in 2019

Nancy holds a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University and a Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law. She opened the Law Office of Nancy A. Zettler in 1994 where she concentrated on representing plaintiffs in drug product liability and medical malpractice cases. She was appointed as a Judge on the Illinois Court of Claims in 2019, where she served for three years.

Nancy started her involvement with District 300 in 1999, the year she moved to Algonquin with her husband and family. Since then she has devoted much of her time to the district and issues that have been important to the taxpayers and students of the district. In 2005 she worked as Co-Chair of Advance 300, a grassroots community driven organization crucial to the passage of referenda in 2006 that helped put the district on a course towards being one of the financially healthiest and transparent districts in the state. In 2011, Nancy again led Advance 300 in working with the district board and administration to fight the state’s continued diversion of property tax dollars meant for our schools to Sears Holding Corporation.

In addition to local activism, over the years Nancy has proudly served on several Board committees including the Community Finance Committee and Legislative Committees. She also served on the D300 Foundation for Educational Excellence including as Chair of the Foundation’s Literacy Committee.
