Principal Dr. Patrick Hardy
  • Greetings,

I am deeply honored to serve as principal at Hampshire High School. My passion for education and dedication to student success are unwavering. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such a talented and dedicated team, and I look forward to a very successful future that we all will accomplish together.

My academic journey, shaped by the teachings and example of my pastor, Bishop Horace Smith, M.D., has been a testament to the transformative power of education. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and secondary education from Xavier University of Louisiana, a Master of Education degree from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education, and a second Master of Education degree specializing in school administration from Cambridge College. My pursuit of knowledge led me to two doctorate degrees: a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) specializing in pastoral studies from Andersonville Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in education from Capella University, where I graduated with distinction.

I began my career as a high school teacher in the Boston Public Schools district and have since amassed a wealth of experience in school administration. As a school leader, I firmly believe that education is the passport to a successful future. Whether our graduates choose to pursue higher education, serve in the military, train for the trades, or embark on any other chosen path, the foundation we build together is crucial for their success. "The power of education extends beyond the development of skills we need for economic success." – Nelson Mandela. It is a powerful force that has the potential to build a better America, reconcile our differences, and uplift all people. By embracing the opportunities education provides, we can create a brighter future for everyone.

We have an opportunity to be that shining light set on a hill where every person is seen, and every student and employee can thrive and reach their full potential. I am deeply committed to this powerful idea. Together, we can make a difference and empower our students to contribute meaningfully to our school and society.

    Let’s go Whips!
