Dear Wildcat Families and Community, 

Welcome to Gary D. Wright Elementary School! It is my privilege and honor to serve as the principal in the Gary D. Wright community. As principal of Gary D. Wright, I firmly believe that if we work together in partnership our students will excel and foster a love of learning.  

Our primary goal at Gary D. Wright is to provide your child with a fun, nurturing learning  environment where every student has the opportunity to flourish and develop to their fullest potential. We recognize that each child is unique, with their own set of talents, abilities and challenges and we are committed to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive space that allows for positive experiences that support and foster growth addressing the whole child.   

Creating a safe, fun and inclusive environment is the foundation of our school community. We strive to foster an atmosphere where all students feel valued, respected and included regardless of their background, abilities or differences. We celebrate diversity in all its forms and actively promote acceptance, understanding, empathy and grace. At Gary D. Wright we believe that by embracing our differences we prepare our students for life beyond the walls of our school and community. 

To achieve these goals, the staff and I believe in the power of collaboration, partnership and community. We recognize that education is a shared responsibility and we greatly value the involvement of all stakeholders in the learning process. Parents and guardians play a vital role in their child’s educational journey and we welcome your active participation in their development. Our school’s Parent Teacher Organization is one way you can get involved and contribute to our school community, volunteering in your child’s classroom is another.

Gary D. Wright has dedicated teachers and staff who are here to support and guide your child throughout their elementary school journey.
