Interim Principal Adrian Harries
  • Dear Perry Families,

Welcome to Perry Elementary School, home of the Perry Wildcats! I am honored to serve as Principal during this year of growth, development, and exciting change as PES transitions from a Trauma-informed center to a Community-based school. A primary difference you will notice during the school year is an increased focus on family and community engagement. First, we have partnered with D300 to transition the Family Parenting Center to Perry Elementary School.  The program will allow parents of children from 0 to 3 years of age to receive parenting classes from professional caregivers. Secondly, we aim to increase the number of family events hosted by Perry staff, with at least one event per month.  Third, we plan to improve the number and quality of after-school programs we offer students.  Last but not least, there will be an increased emphasis on surveying our parents to understand better how we can support their needs and the needs of our students. We can’t understand how to do better without your feedback.

Throughout this change, we will continue to focus on providing high-quality instruction to address the needs of 21st-century learners. We aim to deepen our understanding of teacher collaboration, focusing more on analyzing and utilizing data to decide what is best for our students and families.

I look forward to an exciting school year! Let’s work together to create the positive change our students deserve.

    Go Wildcats!
