Dear Hampshire Elementary School Learning Community,
It is a privilege and an honor to serve as the Principal of Hampshire Elementary School. I would like to take this opportunity to share some of my background information with you.
Personally, I am a proud wife and mother. We have two sons and one daughter. I enjoy all of the activities in which they are involved and embrace the time we share together as I watch them learn and grow.
Professionally, I began my career as a special education teacher here in District 300. I had the opportunity to teach at Neubert Elementary, Lake In The Hills Elementary, and the deLacey Family Education Center. In addition, I taught at Kimball Middle School and South Elgin High School in School District U-46. District 300 provided me with the opportunity to grow and gain experience as a special education facilitator. More recently, prior to my appointment as Principal of Hampshire Elementary School, I had seven years of administrative experience in the position of Education Services Specialist at numerous schools, K-12, within our district.
I value my educational experiences and strive to be a model of life-long learning. I am a product of District 300. I graduated from Hampshire High School, and I am truly a Whip-Pur at heart. I earned a BS in Special Education at Illinois State University and an MA in Educational Leadership from Aurora University.
My goal as the instructional leader of Hampshire Elementary School is to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to foster a safe and effective learning environment. While engaging students through content, instruction, and technology, we will strive to support each student’s social, emotional, and academic growth as well as the District’s mission to ensure all students are college or career ready upon graduation.
As Principal of Hampshire Elementary School, I look forward to learning more about you and your student(s) in 2020-2021, as we work in partnership to support your child’s success. Building relationships and establishing effective lines of communication is so important to me.
Please feel free to contact me at anytime.
