Dear Hampshire Elementary School Families,

Welcome back! I am honored to serve as the Principal of Hampshire Elementary School as we embark on a new journey this school year. I am humbled to have the opportunity to continue my career here at Hampshire Elementary where I have dedicated all 25 of my years in education. 

Professionally, I started my educational career as a graduate from Purdue University with a degree in Elementary Education, along with an Endorsement in Reading. I earned a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University and was excited to begin my teaching career here at Hampshire Elementary School where I taught 1st grade for seven years, then spent four years teaching 3rd grade, before heading back to teach 1st grade for my last ten years in the classroom. In 2021, I had the privilege of transitioning into the role of Student Assistance Coordinator here at Hampshire Elementary where I was able to impact many more students and teachers, while supporting academic and social needs. It is my honor and privilege to now serve the Hampshire Elementary School community as Principal. I strongly believe that my educational background and experiences have helped develop me into who I am today and will help guide all decisions for our students, staff, and families moving forward.

I value collaborative relationships and look forward to working with all students, parents, and staff to continue to provide the best possible educational environment here at Hampshire Elementary School. My leadership foundation is based on servant leadership and strong communication, while focusing on the students’ education and well being. I believe that working hand-in-hand with families, while supporting our amazing staff, will create an optimal learning environment for our students. Our team is here to support you in any way we can.
