Pick-Up and Drop-Off Procedures

    • The following procedures have been developed to ensure the safety of our students and to provide an efficient system of dropping off and picking up students at Liberty. Thank you for your cooperation.

      Morning Arrival

      • Student drop off supervision begins at 7:45 AM
      • Use the front parking lot to drop off students along the front curb area in front of the school’s main entrance
      • Move your vehicle as far ahead toward the turnaround as possible
      • Leaving your vehicle unattended in the drop off line is prohibited
      • Students should exit the vehicle on the passenger side and never walk in front of or in between vehicles
      • Left turns into the Liberty parking lot off Miller Road and left turns exiting the parking lot onto Miller Road are prohibited during drop off times
      • Be courteous to other cars in the drop off area
      • For safety and traffic flow, children should only be dropped off in the designated drop off zones where supervisors are present
      • Cell phone use is prohibited while driving a vehicle on school grounds (state law)
      • The Liberty bus parking lot is prohibited as a student drop off area while buses are present

      Afternoon Departure

      • The drop off area inside the main Liberty parking lot is a Fire Lane until 2:00 PM
      • Left turns into the Liberty parking lot off Miller Road are prohibited during pick up time
      • Orange cones are removed daily at 2:00 PM after which time vehicles may enter the lot to prepare for student pick up
      • Move your vehicle as far up as possible and ensure your numbered placard card is visible (Placards issued by the Liberty office)
      • Supervisors will announce to students the placard number displayed so your child knows when to prepare for pick up (Please review this number with your child upon receiving the placard)
      • Children will be directed to a location to wait until your vehicle has safely moved up and come to a complete stop
      • Students should enter the vehicle on the passenger side and never walk in front of or in between vehicles
      • For families with very young children in car seats, try to have the seat on the driver side so your school age child can load from the passenger side
      • If you need extra time to buckle a child into a car seat, move your vehicle ahead to the turnaround section of the parking lot
      • Leaving your vehicle unattended in the pick-up line is prohibited
      • Parking spaces are reserved for visitors planning to enter the school
      • Do not cut in front of cars ahead of you to gain access to a spot closer in the pick-up lane
      • Double parking is prohibited
      • Cell phone use is prohibited while driving a vehicle on school grounds (state law)
      • The Liberty bus parking lot is prohibited as a student pick up area while buses are present
