Free/Reduced Lunch Applications

The Free/Reduced Meal application for the school year 2026/2027 will become available in mid-July.

Free and Reduced-Price Meal Program

Breakfast and lunch meals are available to all students at all District 300 schools during the 2025-26 school year. Meals are available at a cost of $3.30 per lunch and $1.80 per breakfast. Refer to the district Meal Charge Policy for important information. 

Meal accounts can be funded through www.PushCoin.com.

Applications for free or reduced-price meals ($0.40 per lunch; $0.30 per breakfast) are available through the links below. Meal benefits are effective the date the Determining Official reviews and approves the household eligibility application. Please note that applications may be subject to income verification if there are any discrepancies or concerns regarding the reported information at any time during the year. You may contact the Finance Department at FNRApps@d300.org or 224-484-5441 with any questions on the program application process.

Important: A new application must be submitted each school year. The applicable year is indicated in the bottom left corner. Please ensure you are submitting the correct form—submissions for the wrong year will be denied or returned, and a new, accurate application will be required.  

Direct Certification - If your student is eligible for benefits via the direct certification process based on state income-eligible benefits, you will receive a notification letter via email. If you receive notification that your student is eligible for direct certification, you do not need to submit a Household Eligibility Application. Benefits provided through direct certification are effective on the date the file is accessed.

The District 300 Board of Education approved a fee waiver for grade level registration fees for the 2024-25 school year. Families may be eligible to have other fees waived based on the completion of the Household Eligibility Application (above). If you have questions about the eligibility requirements to have other district fees waived, please contact Student.Fees@d300.org.

Free Meal Program

Students who qualify for FREE meals are eligible to have the following fees waived: registration fee, technology fee, drivers ed fee, athletic participation fee, PE locks fee, and PE uniforms fee.

Reduced Meal Program

Students who qualify for REDUCED meals are eligible to have the following fees waived: registration fee, technology fee, drivers ed fee, and athletic participation fee.

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Schools

Families whose students attend only the schools listed below are not required to complete a Household Eligibility Application; however, they may be eligible to have their fees waived. To determine eligibility, please request an application at any of these schools. For families with students attending both CEP and non-CEP schools, the Household Eligibility Application must be completed.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the assistant secretary for civil rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. Solicitudes para Alimentos Gratis/Precio Reducido

La solicitud de Comidas Gratuitas/Reducidas para el año escolar 2026-27 estará disponible a mediados de julio.

Programa de Alimentos Gratis y Precio Reducido 

El desayuno y el almuerzo están disponibles para todos los estudiantes en todas las escuelas del Distrito 300 para el año escolar 2025-26. Las comidas están disponibles a un costo de $3.30 para el almuerzo y $1.80 para el desayuno. 

Reglamento de Cargos por Comidas

Las cuentas de comidas se pueden financiar a través de www.PushCoin.com. 

Las solicitudes para alimentos gratis o a precio reducido ($0.40 para el almuerzo; $0.30 para el desayuno) están disponibles a través de los enlaces a continuación. Si recibe una notificación de que su estudiante es elegible para la certificación directa, no necesita enviar una solicitud de elegibilidad del hogar. Los beneficios proporcionados a través de la certificación directa son efectivos en la fecha en que se accede al archivo.

La Junta Educativa aprobó una exención para la cuota de inscripción de nivel de grado para el año escolar 2024-25. Programa de Alimentos Gratis

Escuelas bajo la Provisión de Elegibilidad Comunitaria (CEP)

Las familias cuyos estudiantes asisten solo a las escuelas enumeradas a continuación no están obligadas a completar una Solicitud de Elegibilidad del Hogar; sin embargo, pueden ser elegibles para que se les exoneren las cuotas. Para determinar la elegibilidad, por favor solicite una solicitud en cualquiera de estas escuelas. Para las familias con estudiantes que asisten a escuelas tanto CEP como no CEP, se debe completar la Solicitud de Elegibilidad del Hogar.
