Many of our talented Fine Arts students will be performing throughout April. For those interested in attending an event, I have included performance information for next week below. In an attempt to eliminate potential confusion, I have only listed events where tickets may still be available as some performances are already at capacity. If you are interested in attending an event or have any questions, please reach out to the appropriate school directly for more information.

• District 300 presents the “D300 Solo Ensemble & Piano Festival” at Dundee Middle School on Saturday, April 9 at 8 a.m. ((please note: this performance is only open to household family members of performers)
  
  

• Hampshire Middle School will perform “Shrek the Musical Jr.” at Hampshire High School on Saturday, April 9 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  
  

• The Fox Valley Conference Art Show Reception will be held at McHenry County College on Thursday, April 14 at 6 p.m. Awards will take place at 7 p.m.

• Congratulations to Dundee-Crown High School head wrestling coach Tim Hayes and his wife, Katie, who gave birth to their third child on April 1st, while driving to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. The couple and new baby boy Hudson Fox are reportedly happy and healthy. ABC 7 Eyewitness News covered this incredible story, which you can watch by clicking on the photo below.

• Congratulations to the Westfield Community School Middle School Band who raised $560 during Music in Our School Month to help other students have access to music education. The funds will be donated to the Save the Music Foundation, a non-profit organization that partners with public schools to build accessible and sustainable music programs.
  
  
• Congratulations to Hampshire High School for receiving the Bronze Model Recognition of Excellence from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) for assisting students and their families through the financial aid process.
