Graduation Ceremony Instructional Video

  • Next week, the district will release a graduation ceremony instruction video that includes complete details regarding the ceremony, including entry and exit procedures, the location of the stage and LCD screens, and instructions for how graduates will exit their vehicles, walk across the stage to receive their diplomas, and take their graduation photo.

General Expectations for Graduates/Families (see FAQ for full list)

  • All graduation ceremonies will be available to view via livestream. The livestream can be viewed by visiting www.d300.org or on your high school’s home page.

  • Food and water will not be provided during the ceremonies. Thus, we encourage all families to bring their own food and water as needed.

  • The company photographing our high school commencement ceremonies, Central Valley Studios, will offer each graduate's family a free picture download. Instructions on how to claim the photo will be provided following the ceremony.

  • Any individual that does not feel well should stay home for the benefit of all attending.

  • Only one vehicle per graduate is allowed entry into the parking lot where the ceremony will be held.

  • While tickets are not required for entry, only vehicles with a graduate will be permitted entry. Graduates must have their cap and gown on and staff will check IDs (student ID or other ID) prior to allowing a vehicle to enter.

  • Vehicles must be limited to personal automobiles only; no limos, busses, recreational or oversized vehicles, etc.  Large vehicles will be parked in back rows.

  • Families must remain in the cars at all times. There is no outdoor seating or standing permitted. Exceptions are if someone needs to use the restroom (portable restrooms will be available), individuals must wear a mask and maintain social distance in this case.

  • Individuals seeking to park off-site and walk onto the Sears Centre parking lot to view the ceremony will not be permitted entry and will be escorted off property.

  • All vehicles must exit immediately after the ceremony concludes; there will not be an opportunity to stay around for photos and socializing. No tailgating before or after the ceremony is permitted.
