D300 to Host Strategic Plan Town Hall Meeting on Dec. 11 at Hampshire Middle School
District 300 will host a Strategic Plan Town Hall Meeting on December 11 at Hampshire Middle School beginning at 6 p.m. Parents and community members can RSVP in advance by visiting www.d300.org/TownHall.
The purpose of District 300’s Strategic Plan is to provide a clear pathway for how our organization will advance as a premier public education system through the year 2025. Our new Strategic Plan will build on our existing strengths, address areas that must be improved, and ensure we never lose sight of our central mission: to ensure all students are college or career ready upon graduation.
As our current Strategic Plan is expected to be completed in the summer of 2020, the district has started the information gathering phase for our 2020-2025 Strategic Plan. It is our belief that every stakeholder in our community deserves a voice throughout this process. As such, District 300 will host a series of Town Hall Meetings where attendees can provide feedback that will serve as the foundation for our new Strategic Plan.
Each Strategic Plan Town Hall Meeting will include an overview of our proposed goal areas that will guide the district’s work and an exercise called “Portrait of a Graduate,” where attendees will discuss the skills, attributes, and characteristics they believe our students should have upon graduation. Attendees will also have an opportunity to propose initiatives they believe are essential to create a well-rounded student who will achieve success upon graduation.
The Strategic Plan Town Hall Meetings are scheduled on the following dates:
-December 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hampshire Middle School (560 S. State Street, Hampshire)
-December 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Westfield Community School (2100 Sleepy Hollow Road, Algonquin)
Spanish translation will be available at each Strategic Plan Town Hall Meeting.
Each Strategic Plan Town Hall meeting is open to the public. However, space is limited. District 300 respectfully asks interested attendees to RSVP for a meeting in advance by visiting https://www.d300.org/TownHall.
Community members who are unable to attend a Town Hall Meeting will still have an opportunity to provide feedback. After the December 16th Strategic Plan Town Hall Meeting, a feedback form will be emailed to all parents and will be available on District 300’s website (d300.org) and social media channels.
