    • District 300 students and staff are committed to making a positive impact on our community. As such, students and staff have formed a variety of charitable opportunities dedicated the welfare of all our stakeholders.

      Eagle’s Wings Food Pantry at Jacobs High School

      Organizer: Jeffery Davis (Jacobs High School Staff Member)

      About Eagle’s Wings: Eagle’s Wings is a Food Pantry that runs out of Jacobs High School. The pantry operates on a referral basis and typically provides food for fifty students weekly.

      Donations Accepted: Eagle’s Wings Food Pantry accepts donations throughout the school year and welcome offerings of snack items, including chips and Pop-Tarts. Financial donations are also welcome and can be provided by check made out to Eagle’s Wings.

      Where Can Donations Be Made? Donations can be made at Jacobs High School.


      Pedal Empowerment

      Organizer: Justin Lorezn (Jacobs High School Student)

      About Pedal Power: Justin Lorezn is a senior at Jacobs High School who races high-end bicycles during triathlons. Justin understands that some children in the community may not have the same opportunity. As a result, Justin has launched a campaign to collect gently used bicycles and donate them to members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dundee Township.

      Donations Accepted: New and gently used bicycles

      Where Can Donations Be Made? Donations can be made at any District 300 school. 


      Sole Provider

      Organizers: Brandon Cole and Brett Bognar (Jacobs High School Students)

      About Sole Provider: Sole Provider, which was started by two cross country and track seniors from Jacobs High School, believe every child should have the opportunity to enjoy sports. Sole Provider collects new and gently used athletic shoes. Sole Provider’s hope is that these shoes will help some students participate in sports that they might not have otherwise been able to attempt due to financial difficulties.  

      Donations Accepted: Sole provider will accept any athletic shoes including: cheer shoes, dance shoes, cross country trainers, cross-country spikes, track spikes, soccer cleats, football cleats, wrestling shoes, cheer shoes, dance shoes, and any other sports footwear.

      Where Can Donations Be Made? Dundee-Crown High School, Dundee Middle School, Hampshire High School, Jacobs High School, Liberty Elementary School, Westfield Community School, Midwest Cheer Elite Illinois, and the Algonquin Area Public Library.
