Elementary A-B-C-D-E Calendar

The Elementary A-B-C-D-E Calendar serves as a schedule for all K-5 specials classes. Beginning in kindergarten, all elementary school students attend the following specials classes: art, music, PE, Skills for Success, and STEM.

Please note: Specials classes are in addition to classes focused on core areas of instruction.

Each elementary classroom teacher has an individualized specials schedule, which is guided by the Elementary A-B-C-D-E Calendar. To learn more about your student’s specific specials schedule, please contact your student’s teacher.

Elementary school students receive the following instructional time for specials:

  • Art – 60 minutes (one time every other A-E sequence) 
     

  • Music – 30 minutes (two times each A-E sequence) 
     

  • PE – 30 minutes (two times each A-E sequence)
     

  • Skills for Success – 30 minutes (one time each A-E sequence)
     

  • STEM – 60 minutes (one time every other A-E sequence)
