Course Description:  Accounting I, a two term advanced level course, is designed to give students an overview of the accounting process for a service business and a merchandising business.  Students will learn to analyze and record business transactions, journalize and post these transactions to various ledgers, and prepare financial statements and other accounting reports used in managing a business.  Accounting and related business careers will also be explored in this course.
