Smokey the Dog came to Eastview in 2002. He belonged to a 4th grade student. He soon became a fixture on Good Morning Eastview telecast. At the end of th eschool year Smokey's owner had read the book; The Giving Tree.  She decided that Smokey would be given to Mr. Hardt. That way, Smokey would be easily recognized and famous forever.

Currently Smokey the Dog enjoys bottled water & table scraps. He is an expert tap dancer and friend to all the children of Eastview.
