I am excited to be teaching at Algonquin Lakes again this year. This is my 3rd year at ALES and my 4th year in D300. I teach small groups of ELL students. We work on reading, writing and classroom vocabulary. Before coming to District 300 I taught elementary school in Quincy, IL and in Akron, OH. I have also spent many years coaching girl's gymnastics.
My teaching certifications include elementary education grades K - 9 and English as a Second Language approval. I am a graduate of the Univesity of Akron (Ohio) and National Louis University in Illinois. I am currently working to finish my Masters degree in reading and literacy from Benedictine University.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my three boys and my husband. We travel to soccer games, swim meets and gymnastics competitions. We also enjoy biking and watching movies together.
