D.A.R.E is a 5th grade program that teaches our students to resist and say no to drugs.  Officer Amy from the Algonquin Police Department comes in and teaches a lesson every week for 10 weeks to our students.  At the end of the program, students will write letters to themselves reminding them why they are drug free.  The letters are then put into envelopes and sealed.  These letters are to be opened again when beginning highschool.  At DARE graduation, students will receive a certificate of completion. All 5th grade students receive a DARE t-shirt to wear on the day of their lessons.
