Mrs. Beagley has been teaching orchestra in District 300 for 18 years.  She has taught middle school and high school but now teaches just fifth grade beginners at five buildings.  She also is the music director at her church in Crystal Lake.

 She and her husband live in Crystal Lake.  Her husband, David, retired recently after teaching beginning band and middle school band in Round Lake for 22 years.  They have two sons.  The older son is a pastor in Ames, Iowa and the younger son is doing graduate work in applied math at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. 

Mrs. Beagley has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Western Illinois University and a Masters of Music from Michigan State University.  While at Michigan State she took lessons each week on each of the orchestra instruments.  Her major instrument is viola.  She plays in the orchestra for Voices in Harmony in Crystal Lake each year for their December sing along "Messiah."
