Hello All!

            My name is Mr. Cappello and I am currently a Physics and Biology teacher here at HD Jacobs.It is my second year here and I couldn't ask for a better place to work or better students to work with! Along with teaching here at HDJ I coach both the boys and girls JV soccer teams. I have played soccer my entire life, including four years of college. I attended St. Xavier University on the South side of Chicago. I recieved my B.S. in Biology with  minors in Physical Science and Secondary Education. I graduated in 2007 and have been out of school since. I am currently seeking out a masters program to begin this summer in order to furthur my education!  

           This spring I am trying to do something new with my classes. I have created a google site ( http://sites.google.com/site/cappelloscience ) in which I will have ALL assginments given in class uploaded. Along with all documents given in class there may be some extra assignments online that the students will be required to complete for homework! Many of these assignments will require students to post reactions to articles or videos. Im hoping this will enchance both the students understanding of the content as well as develop their skills in using technology.
