Hello and welcome to our class webpage.  My name is Jon Betts and this is my seventh year at Liberty.  I grew up in McHenry, where my wife, our wily puppy, Bear, our one year old, Gracie, newborn Claire, and I still call home.  After high school, I attended Knox College, where I earned my teaching degree while completing a double-major in Elementary Education and English Literature as well as an additional endorsement in Middle School Education.  When I'm not in the classroom, you can usually find me buried in a good book, on the tennis court, the soccer field, or putting some miles on my running shoes.  Over the past several years, when not teaching or coaching, I found time to pursue my master's degrees in Curriculum and Instruction (which I wrapped up a little over a year ago) and Educational Leadership (which I am just now finishing up).  My time at Liberty has been tremendous and I'm looking forward to another great year.
