Perry Pride Promise I pledge to everyone at Perry that I will show respect by treating others the way I want to be treated. I promise to help make my school a safe and caring place. Today I will be a pal by respecting property, all others, learning and myself. |
Every day at Perry begins with morning announcements and all students and staff reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and the Perry Pride Promise. |
What is a Perry Pride and Gold Slip? A Perry Pride is earned by a student for good behavior. Good behavior includes respecting property, all others, learning, and yourself. Green Perry Prides are earned during lunch, and before school while waiting in line to enter the building. These are put into a weekly drawing for a "goody bag". Blue Perry Prides are used to purchase items from the Perry Pride Cart. The cart is open to each grade once every month. |
Gold Slips are earned by an entire class for good behavior. This includes walking down the hall quietly and keeping your hands to yourself, respecting a substitute teacher, and a class with perfect attendance and no tardies for an entire week. Those classes earning 50 Gold Slips during either the first half of the school or second half are rewarded with a Gold Slip Party. |
School Improvement Goals Objective 1: Staff will implement research based direct reading instruction strategies, as prescribed, to improve reading performance on ISAT by 6% for students with disabilities in 2008-09.
