In 2003, 20 members of the community and school organized the Dundee-Crown High School Athletic Hall of Fame to recognize and honor individuals or teams from the three high schools who have served students from Carpentersville, East Dundee, West Dundee, Sleepy Hollow, and Algonquin since the 1870s.

Candidates for the Athletic Hall of Fame can be individual athletes, teams, coaches, and supporters from the community whose achievements have given dignity and/or fame to one of the three schools.

Catagories for recognition in the Hall of Fame are divided into six areas:

  • State Champion: an individual or team state champion from any Illinois High School Association sport.

  • All State Recognition: individuals/teams who have been selected to any recognized All State Team.

  • Outstanding Coaches: an individual coach who has had an extended period of success.

  • Outstanding Athletes: individuals who earned varsity letters and contributed significantly to the athletic program.

  • Post-High School Achievement: an individual athlete who brought honor to the community by his/her outstanding post high school career.

  • Outstanding Supporters: an individual who has given meritorious service to the athletic program.

Eligibility for membership begins five (5) years after graduation. To be considered for induction, nomination forms are due by February 1. You may obtain forms from the documents link on this page or the Dundee-Crown Athletic Office. the inductees and/or their family members were present to receive recognition. Over 100 community members were present to witness the induction.
