District 300 welcomes its citizens to apply to serve on any of the School Board committees.

Interested volunteers will note that there are six Board committees, all of which are advisory in nature:

• Construction/Facility Oversight Committee - Typically meets the second Thursday of the month in the Professional Development Center (PDC), 2605 Bunker Hill Road in Algonquin
• Discipline Committee - This committee meets on an as-needed basis.
• Education Committee - Typically meets the first Thursday of the month in the Administration Center, 300 Cleveland Avenue in Carpentersville
• Finance Committee- Typically meets the third Wednesday of the month in the Admin. Center
• Human Resources CommitteeTypically meets the third Tuesday of the month in the Admin. Center
• Policy/Legislative Committee - This committee meets on an as-needed basis.

It notes that applications will be welcomed year-round and that the Board President makes the appointments subject to Board approval. The Board President will consider the applicant’s skills relevant to the committee and asks for a serious commitment and regular attendance from each appointee.
