CURRENT BOUNDARY MAPS 07-08 SCHOOL YEAR

NEW Boundary maps

On Jan. 28, 2008, the District 300 School Board voted in support of Proposal No. 3 for high school boundaries and Proposal No. 10 for middle school boundaries. The parents of children in grades 7, 9, 10, and 11 in the affected (moved) areas have until Feb. 15, 2008, to let their school know whether or not they want their children “grandfathered,” meaning they will can stay at their current school for a period of time. If they choose this grandfathering option, they must provide their own transportation. (PLEASE SEE the Jan. 28, which is posted above, for more details.)

Here are the new boundaries to go into effect with the 2008-09 school year:

Guiding Principles

During 2006 and 2007, the ABC followed these "guiding principles" in developing proposals for new boundaries. NOTE: It is nearly impossible to adhere strictly to all of the guiding principles simultaneously. The committee focused on following as many of the guidelines as closely as possible during each step of boundary review process.
