In the fall of 2004 an 8 classroom addition was added to the back of Liberty Elementary due to its population explosion.  Thankfully, the building had been built with the infrastructure needed to connect the section of the new addition with ease.

Submissions for the name of Liberty were collected in early 2002. Before this time the building was referred to by the crossroads it was built upon - Huntley-Miller.

After the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, the name "Liberty" was the perfect moniker for this new school.
