Submissions being accepted for D300 Multicultural Festival graphic design

District 300 is now accepting submissions for a graphic design to represent the D300 Multicultural Festival.  The contest is open to current students and their parents, as well as current faculty and staff members.  The deadline for submissions is Monday, May 27, 2013.

Entries must be in a GIF file format and should be emailed to D300 Communication Services at allison.strupeck@d300.org.  The graphic should reflect the wonderful diversity that makes D300 so special – such as diversity in ethnicity, culture, age, race, and/or ability.  The graphic should somehow include the words, “D300 Multicultural Festival.”

The festival steering committee will choose the semifinalists, which current students, parents, and staff will be able to vote on this August after the new school year begins.  Prizes that are partly sponsored by Spring Hill Mall will be given to all of the semifinalists.  The winning design will be unveiled at the D300 Multicultural Festival, which will be held at Spring Hill Mall in West Dundee on Sunday, October 20, 2013.

This is the first year for the D300 Multicultural Festival, which organizers and district leaders hope will become an annual district-wide tradition.  The winning graphic design will be used for the next few years in promotional materials for the festival, such as T-shirts and posters.
