Sleepy Hollow Elementary Wins 'It Takes a Village' Award

Everyone Reading Illinois, a statewide, nonprofit organization dedicated to the study and remediation of dyslexia and the support and encouragement of individuals with dyslexia and their families, have awarded Sleepy Hollow Elementary School as the 2017 It Takes a Village Award winner.

The It Takes a Village Award recognizes schools who perform outstanding work with students who are dyslexic. The award is a testament to Sleepy Hollow Elementary commitment to benefit students who struggle to read.

In an award letter addressed to Sleepy Hollow Elementary, the Everyone Is Reading organization states, “Your (Sleepy Hollow’s) team is an inspiration for all of what happens when leadership, research, best practices, and dedication come together.”

Sleepy Hollow Elementary will be recognized for their achievement on October 25 during a conference at the Northern Illinois University Conference Center in Naperville.

Congratulations Sleepy Hollow Elementary!
