National Special Education Day

On Monday, Dec. 2, District 300 is celebrating National Special Education Day, recognizing the hard work and efforts that all parents, educators and community put forth to support students with disabilities.  Special Education Day began in 2005 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) signed by President Gerald Ford.

In D300, we are extremely fortunate to have a dedicated and talented Education Services staff and general education staff committed to the education of all of our students.  We are proud of the inclusive culture that they create to help our students reach their maximum potential!

In the words of Quantum Learning, “Everything is on Purpose,” and it is no accident that our students thrive due to the dedication of our entire faculty and staff as well as committed parents.  On Special Education Day, and every day, we hope you know how much you are appreciated!Thank you.
