Hampshire High School to Play in a “Strike Out Cancer” Game on May 19

On May 19th, Hampshire High School will play in a “Strike Out Cancer” game at Trout Park in Elgin benefitting the Jason Motte Foundation that raises money for people affected by cancer.

During the game, players will be wearing “Strike Out Cancer” t-shirts and will use wood bats provided by the Hoosier Bat Company. These bats will be dyed the 20 colors of cancer awareness to draw attention to all forms of cancer. Following the game, the public will be able to participate in a silent auction to acquire any of the twenty of the awareness bats.

The Motte Foundation directs the monies raised toward to research and providing comfort and care to those affected.
