The District 300 Board of Education has hired the renowned professional search firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Assoc. to assist in developing the criteria that D300's next Superintendent should possess and finding the best candidates.
Please scroll down to see the letter that outlines the Board's agreement with Hazard, Young, Attea & Assoc. (HYA) as was finalized at last evening's (Jan. 25, 2010) Board meeting. The agreement indicates that the Board intends to first search within the D300 organization, and if the internal search is successful HYA's fee will be cut in half. But if the Board ultimately decides to continue the search outside of D300, there will be an additional charge.
The current D300 Superintendent, Dr. Kenneth Arndt, will retire in summer 2011 after 10 years of successfully leading D300. To read his biography, visit http://www.d300.org/board-/-superintendent/superintendents-page
The Board aspires to have Arndt's successor chosen by this fall so that Arndt can mentor him or her for a smooth transition.
