A Dual Language program is an enriched form of education. It is open both to English and Spanish speakers. If your child will enter kindergarten this fall and you are interested in a D300 Dual Language program, please plan to attend one of the informational meetings listed below. The goals of this researched-based, two-way language initiative are to develop a high level of achievement in speaking, reading, and writing in two languages for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The District 300 Dual Language Program strives to promote bilingualism and bi-literacy while promoting positive attitudes, knowledge and appreciation of other cultures and their languages. It also helps students to meet or exceed the State learning standards in all subject areas.
