The district would like to provide an update to the public on how it is handling potential issues with bus maintenance and safety that were recently brought to its attention.

Please join District 300 leaders for a special "community appreciation" open house this Sunday afternoon, Sept. 22, at the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry, located at 1113 Pyott Road in Lake in the Hills. Drop by anytime between 1 and 4 p.m. Sunday to see what has been created to serve D300 families including the pantry, vegetable garden, herb garden, and an orchard.  Click here for more information.

District 300 high school students are on the CUSP of great things! On Sept. 18-19, through the generous funding of the D300 Foundation for Excellence, D300 is proudly hosting the Cusp Conference.  This is a video production inspiring students to aim high and work for their dreams. Four Items from One School Board Meeting in One Minute

Come join us for this year's first meeting of the GRANDPARENTS RAISING GRANDKIDS support group, which is taking place on Monday, Sept. 16, at Golfview Elementary School (124 Golfview Lane in Carpentersville), starting with dinner at 6 p.m.  Please call 847.551.8489 to reserve a spot.  Childcare and Spanish translators will be available at each meeting. 

School District 300 leaders are committed to providing resources and opportunities for the community to learn about the school district and stay actively involved in the decision-making process.   The following resources are available to the community related to D300 School Board meetings:

District 300 is honored to have earned $10,000 through an Innovation Generation grant from the Motorola Solutions Foundation, the charitable arm of Motorola Solutions, Inc.  Using this grant, D300 will be able to expand the use of technology in the D300 Summer STEM classes (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

With Friday, August 30, being the first "elementary early release" date for this year, we wanted to ensure everyone has access to the 2013-2014 Supplemental Calendar.  This covers all grade levels and includes early releases, late starts, and other dates of partial/no student attendance.  As noted, please visit the school website for specific bell times.  Thank you.
