I would like to thank each of our school board candidates for their willingness to serve our community and our students.

Congratulations to Dr. David Scarpino and Mary McNicholas on their election to the District 300 Board of Education. I welcome you both as our newest Board Members. I’d also like to congratulate Mrs. Anne Miller on her re-election.

On Saturday, April 8th the D300 Solo/Ensemble and Piano Festivals will take place at Dundee-Crown High School. Over 300 students from around the district will perform in small ensembles, solos, and on the piano. Further information can be found here. Please contact Mr.

Online Registration Update: District 300's Online Registration process will not go live today, April 3, as originally announced. As soon as we have more information about when Online Registration will go live, we will post it here and on our website. In addition, we will also send and RCS message to all D300 families. 

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your understanding.

While technology creates convenience in our lives and helps keep us in touch with our kids, as parents, we know danger can lurk in the files contained on cell phones and computers.
 

This spring, District 300 will use an address verification process to verify the addresses of all families set to attend District 300 schools for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year.

Families will be contacted only in the event District 300 requires additional address verification information or documentation.

From April 4th-17th, the work of hundreds of students from across the Fox Valley Conference will be on display for the Annual Fox Valley Conference Art Show at McHenry County College.

The current District 300 academic calendar designates Monday, April 17 as a student attendance date if an emergency date, such as a ‘snow day,’ has been declared earlier in the year.

As District 300 has not declared an emergency date this year, April 17 has been officially declared a non-attendance day for students.

Elementary Student Report Cards will be available on the parent portal beginning at noon on March 24th. After 12pm on April 3, parents of returning District 300 students can enroll their students for the 2017-18 school year using District 300's Online Registration process. Online Registration is a simple process and should take between 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

On April 3, an RCS message will be sent to all District 300 families that includes Online Registration resources (in English and Spanish), including step-by-step instructions to complete the online registration process. 

To promote literacy during spring break, District 300 is hosting the #D300Reads campaign, encouraging students to read books between March 27 and March 31.

All District 300 students have the opportunity to win a Barnes and Noble gift card by posting a photo of them reading a book. Photos can be posted to Twitter using #D300Reads or, for those who do not have Twitter, by visiting www.d300.org/D300Reads.
