Dundee-Crown High School is proud to host students from throughout D300 at the upcoming C2 College Fair.  This college and careers event will be held 8:20 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 14, at Dundee-Crown (1500 Kings Road,  Carpentersville) in the Field House.  Dundee-Crown is excited about showcasing the learning opportunities and future options for students.  Here is the general schedule:

The following message was sent to D300 staff and families at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28:

"District 300 schools will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, January 29, 2014, following a normal schedule. We look forward to seeing everyone back in class tomorrow for continued learning!  Thank you.  - D300 Communication Services"

The following message was sent to all D300 families and staff at 12 noon on Sunday, January 26:

The D300 Education Services Department will host the 1st Annual “When the Bus Stops Coming” Transition Fair on Saturday, February 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Board begins superintentendent search to continue progress, Bregy accepts new position

The D300 School Board remains committed to continuing the district’s progress after Superintendent Michael Bregy takes a new position in another school district later this year.

All District 300 parents, staff, students, and community members are encouraged to join the D300 Legislative Forum this coming Tuesday, January 21!  Drop by the Jacobs High School Commons beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Four Items from One School Board Meeting in One Minute!

1. Thank you to Hampshire Elementary School students and Principal Dr. David Scarpino,  who led the Pledge of Allegiance at last night’s Board of Education meeting.  They are: Anika Engberg – Mrs. Leibengood, Grade 2, Gianna Martin – Mr. York, Grade 3, Logan Routhe – Mr. Rahn, Grade 4, Jacob Junker – Mrs. Edwards, Grade 4, Zander Wilson – Mrs. Rath, Grade 3 and Janelle Ortiz  - Ms. Berry , Grade 2. Great job!

As of Wednesday morning, January 8, external calls are not currently functioning into the D300 Central Office, Carpentersville Middle School, deLacey Family Education Center, and Parkview Elementary School.  We apologize for any inconvenience.  Internal dialing between schools continues to function properly.  Should you need to reach one of these affected buildings, please call a different D300 school and asked to be internally transferred to that building's front desk. Thank you.

D300 schools will re-open on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.  We hope that everyone in the D300 community has been able to stay warm and safe while our schools were closed. Thank you, and welcome back!
