Beginning in 2018-2019, District 300 will offer an AP Capstone course to sophomore and junior students. AP Capstone replaces a student’s core English class and is an ideal option for students considering Honors or AP English courses.

AP Capstone is a College Board program that equips students with the independent research, collaborative teamwork, and communication skills that are increasingly valued by colleges.

AP Capstone cultivates curious, independent, and collaborative scholars and prepares them to make logical, evidence-based decisions.

The District 300 Paraeducators are proud to announce the 8th Annual Veterans Day Collection Drive benefiting Operation Support Our Troops, Illinois.

From Monday, October 16 through Friday, November 3rd, each District 300 school will collect a specific item that soldiers have personally requested. Please consider sending one or two of these items with your child.

Everyone Reading Illinois, a statewide, nonprofit organization dedicated to the study and remediation of dyslexia and the support and encouragement of individuals with dyslexia and their families, have awarded Sleepy Hollow Elementary School as the 2017 It Takes a Village Award winner.

The It Takes a Village Award recognizes schools who perform outstanding work with students who are dyslexic. The award is a testament to Sleepy Hollow Elementary commitment to benefit students who struggle to read.

In an effort to support hurricane relief victims, District 300 students, staff, and community members have raised a total of $33,568 through school-based fundraisers.

District 300 will disperse the funds accordingly to the following hurricane relief funds: 

During last night’s Board of Education Meeting, District 300 celebrated our high school students who scored 1400 or higher on the SAT, earned a perfect ACT score, became AP Scholars, or were National Merit Scholarship Competition Semifinalists. Congratulations to the following students and their families!

D300 Parent University will host Bullying: Empowering Parents and Children on October 21st from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the District 300 Central Office (2550 Harnish Drive, Algonquin, IL). The presentation will feature speaker Todd Rohlwing, District 300’s Director of School Safety.

Infinite Campus will be unavailable this Sunday, October 1 starting at 6:00 p.m. 

This will mean that the Campus portal (for students and parents) and campus application (staff) will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes.

The District 300 Central Office is scheduled to undergo phone maintenance this afternoon from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Central office phones will not be able to make or receive phone calls during this time. The outage will only impact the District 300 Central Office and not any of our District 300 schools. Phones are expected to be restored to full functionality at 3:00pm this afternoon.

On Thursday, September 28th, Golfview Elementary will host a Family Information Night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

All District 300 families attending Golfview Elementary, Lakewood Elementary, Meadowdale Elementary, Parkview Elementary, Perry Elementary, and Carpentersville Middle school are invited to attend.

The goal of the Family Information Night is to connect District 300 families with our community by building relationships with school staff and non-profit organizations.
