As we enter October, please be aware that District 300 is seeing a resurgence in the number of messages we are receiving regarding concerns about “clowns,” specifically individuals dressing up like clowns and walking around in an attempt to draw attention or scare individuals.

Dear Parents of Hampshire Middle School Students,

Hampshire Middle School is currently experiencing a partial power outage. ComEd has identified the cause of the outage and has communicated it may take up to six hours to fully restore power.

All Hampshire Middle School students have the opportunity to receive a school lunch, use the bathroom, and access drinking water.

Some portions of the building are experiencing ventilation issues. Students in these classrooms have been moved into areas of the building that have proper ventilation.

October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness month and District 300 invites the entire community to raise bullying prevention awareness by wearing a blue shirt on Monday, October 3rd.

October 3rd is “Blue Shirt Day” World Day of Bullying Prevention and students and staff from all District 300 schools will wear blue shirts to support bullying prevention.

District 300 families can use MyPaymentsPlus to electronically manage their student’s meal account.

MyPaymentPlus allows parents to make deposits, view account balances, create settings to auto-replenish accounts, and to receive free reminder emails when balances are low.

The Illinois State Board of Education, with assistance from the Regional Offices of Education, will host a listening tour to collect feedback on the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

A meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 28 at Streamwood High School (701 W. Schaumburg Road, Streamwood) from 5pm to 6:30pm.

Infinite Campus will be down for routine maintenance on September 20th at 6:30pm. Infinite Campus is expected to be down for approximately 30 minutes.
