Due to inclement weather, the Dual Credit Information Night that had been scheduled for tonight, February 8th, at Jacobs High School has been postponed. The event will be rescheduled and the new date will be posted as soon as it has been determined. Thank you.

The Rotary Clubs of Dundee Township and Carpentersville are offering a free leadership conference for high school students who reside in Dundee Township. The conference is called RYLA: Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. Students selected to participate in RYLA will attend an all-expense-paid three-day camp at Edwards Camp and Conference Center in East Troy, Wisconsin. The camp dates are March 8-11, 2018, or April 12-15, 2018.  Rotary arranges and pays for your transportation to and from the conference. 

The DCHS POMP 13th annual Music Changes Lives Event will take place on Sunday February 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30pm in the multi-purpose room at Dundee-Crown High School.

The Algonquin Public Library is commemorating Black History month with the DuSable Mobile Museum.

The DuSable Mobile Museum is scheduled for Monday, February 19th from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Algonquin Area Public Library Main Library on 2600 Harnish Drive. No registration is required.

The D300 Special Olympics basketball team is excited to host their annual Students vs. Staff basketball game on Thursday, February 8th at 6:00 p.m. in the Jacobs competition gym.

Come out and show your support for the Special Olympics athletes who just won their regional tournament and qualified for the State Tournament at Illinois State University in March.

Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, District 300 will no longer offer tuition-based preschool.

All students who are currently enrolled in tuition-based preschool will have the opportunity to continue in the program and remain in their current buildings. A District 300 representative will be contacting all parents of current tuition-based preschool students to provide additional information and answer any questions.

Attention seniors planning on majoring in education, there is a  $4,000 scholarship opportunity available in your school’s counseling office called the Dr. Connie Tucker scholarship. Dr. Tucker was a long-time educator and public servant that wants to support a future educator.  You may apply by mail or email (preferred) and the deadline is March 16, 2018.
