1:1 Program Parent Resources: Student Responsibilities

Click here to return to the 1:1 Program Resources Homepage

What are the student's responsibilities?

  • Students are responsible for using their Chromebooks responsibly in the classroom.
  • Students in grades 3 - 12 are allowed to take their Chromebooks home.  They should continue to use the Chromebook responsibly at home as well as at school.

In order to prepare students for these responsibilities, District 300 has created a curriculum to teach students:

  • How to operate the Chromebook, including how to use the Student 1:1 Help Desk if there are issues
  • What the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is and why it is important to adhere to it
  • How to use the digital tools provided (Haiku/Power School Learning LMS, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, etc.)
  • How to use the digital curriculum (Wonders, Study Sync, Discovery)
