CARPENTERSVILLE -- All piano students in 3rd through 12th grades are invited to register through Feb. 6 for this spring’s School District 300 Piano Festival.The noncompetitive event, now in its fourth decade, is open to the public. There is no admission fee for audience members, and the media are encouraged to attend. It will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, at Westfield Community School, located at 2100 Sleepy Hollow Road in Algonquin. Last year, this special annual tradition saw 155 student entries from public, parochial, and home schools in D300.
Students can pick up entry forms from music teachers at any D300 school. The deadline to enter to play in the festival is Friday, Feb. 6. Forms must be mailed or delivered, along with a $5 check, to:
