Communication Services

The Department of Communication Services exists to involve all members of the District 300 community in district decision-making with the goal of increasing public support for our school system.  Communication Services provides a direct link between the public and the district, through which residents and staff have a point of contact for their questions, opinions, and concerns. Communication Services manages or supports areas including media relations; governmental relations including the School Board Legislative Committee; the Rapid Communication System (RCS); Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) compliance; social media; recognition of students, staff and community; district-level publications such as The Leader newsletter, Annual Report, and Parent Handbook; archives management and the Document Imaging System; the D300 Parent-Teacher Organization Council; the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council; the D300 Community Leadership Council (village mayors/managers and other municipal leaders); strategic planning and messaging; website support; and district-level annual events such as the Staff Rally and Relay For Life.
