Parents, this year I would like to advise that you encourage your child to read. Read anything they enjoy reading. Even comic books, sports books, anything your child enjoys reading. Just Read!
Also, you might want to join your child in reading this year. For example, you might read a page out loud to your child. Then your child could read a page out loud to you. This could also spark some discussion on what you both just read.
