We have been busy studying animals and their biomes.
To celebrtate our learning, we are so excited to go see Disney Nature's Chimpanzee movie!!
Please send your child to school with a healthy snack and sack lunch.
Sack lunches are avaliable through school.

This week during Art Appreciation we learned about Frida Kahlo, a painter from Mexico who was best known for herself portraits of her and her animals. The 2nd graders recreated her style by using oil pastels to draw bird pictures.
Thank you to ALL of our awesome Art Appreciation volunteers for making this program possible!!

October is Fire Saftey Month!!
Lt. Berg talked with us about fire safety and fire prevention.
Remember to test your fire alarm batteries!!!
Monday, October 31, 2011 will be the day of our Halloween Parties.
It is also a half day of school. Here are some things to remember:
* Parade will begin at 9:15, parties to follow
* Please send your child's costume to school in a bag labeled with their first and last name.
* Your child should NOT wear their costume to school.
* Children will be released at 12:00.
