Strategic Plan and Research Findings presented to Board, PublicOn Tuesday, May 29, 2007, the community and leaders of School District 300 gathered together for a detailed presentation of the district's new 5-year Strategic Plan. Together with a similar but more detailed document called "Research Findings," the Strategic Plan report is the result of several months of surveys, focus groups, and scientific analysis to determine what D300 stakeholders think of the present and want for the future. The forward-looking plan is truly representative of the entire D300 community. Several thousand people chose to participate, including: Parents, staff, 2001-2006 graduates of District 300, current middle and high school students, municipal leaders, and general community members without children in the schools. Rosemont-based ECRA Group, a consulting firm led by some of the most well respected statisticians in the region, conducted the study and authored the reports. (The ECRA biographies are included in the reports, in addition to detail about the research methodology they used.) During the summer of 2007, ECRA will continue to work with the Board and district administrators on specific ways to put the information to use for improving the district. |
