Effective August 2011, District 300 will only print two editions each year of our community newsletter, which is called The Leader. The summer edition will typically be printed in July, and the winter edition will typically be printed in February. Both editions will be mailed directly to all addresses in the school district using reduced/bulk postage rates, as will the D300 Annual Report in September. The Leader will no longer be sent home with students to parents.
For the other eight months of the year, D300 will produce a simplified electronic newsletter called The E-Leader. It will only be available online. Each month, the district will email the link for The E-Leader to parents/guardians who have an email address on file with the school. Therefore, it is more important than ever that all D300 families have a current email address on file so they are not cut out of the information loop. At least 1 in 3 student households do not currently have an email address on file. Do you? If not, call your school today!
Community members interested in reading The E-Leader are encouraged to visit www.d300.org each month and look for the link on the left side. We value your involvement in D300 schools!

SCHOOL SHOWCASE
Each month from October through May, four D300 schools are "showcased," meaning these principals are each given space to publish an article and 1-2 photos about their schools. The School Showcase schedule for 2011-2012 will be determined in the near future.
